    Scarlet Flashes

Getting closer to completing the outfit. My MacLellan kilt is lovely with blue, green, red and yellow highlights. I bought some MacLellan flashes to go with it, but more and more I am am reading red flashes are traditional and go with everything.

After looking at various vendors who support XMTS (and others) I am having a hard time finding the right flashes. Maybe some bushy ones, scarlet red, not ancient.

Advise please on type and vendor. Thanks!

Yup, Jamie is wearing our traditional garter ties in "tartan red." The "brick red" is also a nice choice, still very much red, but a slightly darker color.

Taking a bit of a fashion risk if you don't match your garters to your toorie. JOKE!

Couldn't be a risk as my fair lass says I have no sense of fashion anyway.

That may be true, however, wearing a kilt shows you have a sense of style.

Zardoz sent you in the right direction. Follow it.

Once it became OK for me to wear black shoes with a brown sporran, I found that I really could wear that bright red toorie with my new brick red garter ties.
