    Sporran question

When attending a wedding as a guest and not a member of the wedding party, would this be considered a formal or semi-formal dress occasion? Tweed Argyll coat charcoal color. I'm a member of the brides family (uncle). Formal or semi-formal sporran? I know there are going to be some variables associated with this but in general I would be interested in hearing opinions.

If you aren't in the wedding party a tweed Argyll is perfectly fine and a semi dress sporran is ok. Treat it as semi formal.

Unless everyone in the church is in tuxedos, or the equivalent, it's going to be more semi-formal for guests. Just wear a semi-formal sporran, and pair that up with a nice tie in a color to match a color in your kilt, and it would be nice to have flashes of the same color.
