Is This Style of Kilt Buckle Still Made?

Was wondering if this style of kilt belt buckle was still made in plain sterling silver, and where one might obtain one? Or at least one along these lines.

It's pewter and not silver, but you could shine it up to look almost like silver. Really great buckle.

Very similar to the style I am looking for however, has to be silver lol. I plan on having it engraved at some point.

Search on line for Mexican silversmiths. A friend, now deceasaed, had all of his Highland accessories made in Mexico, and the workmanship was first rate. You might try Avila sterling silver, or any of the other makers in Taxco. Buena Suerte, Amigo!

Hmm, great idea Scott! My bro-in-law and sis-in-law have a house in San Miguel, a town noted for its silversmiths. I might have some work for them!

My friend had a lot of his stuff cast, or repousse'd (he had a belt buckle that was the equal of anything made in the 19th century). He said the trick was to provide them with detailed artwork and you couldn't go wrong.
