Thumbs up to Turpin and Thorfinn Custom Sporrans
A couple of weeks ago, I talked with Turpin about purchasing one of the sporrans on his "No Jonesing Page". a few days after the conversation, I sent him the payment via Paypal.
Shortly following this, I received a call from my father saying I was needed urgently in Utah. Finances being as they are, I couldn't afford the plane ticket. I called Turpin, and asked if he had shipped the sporran yet. He replied that he had not and I asked if it would be possible to cancel my order and received a refund. I then explained the circumstances.
Turpin willingly said he would refund the money and it was in my Paypal account later that evening. As I write this I am in Utah finishing up with some urgent family business. I'm an only child and thus my parents have no one else to help with certain matters.
I will always appreciate Turpin for forgoing a sale and refunding the money in a timely manner. I will purchase from him in the future!

That's a good story to hear.
I wish the businesses I deal with on a daily basis at work had half the ethics and commitment of the artisans whom we encounter on this forum. This place is an oasis.
Good on you, Turpin, for going the extra mile.
And Kent, good on you for placing family first.

I agree on both counts. Being an only child also I understand your position, and you made the right choice. Being a proud owner of one of Turpin's sporrans, I personally know of his quality and business character and can highly recommend him to anyone in search of a product in his realm.

You gotta love excellent and understanding customer service. I have found that there is far more of that with our sponsors and vendors here than anywhere else.

We are, afterall folks, one big family of kilt lovers anyway. Sometimes a bit dysfunctional like all families, but we pull together when one of our own is in trouble. Nice work Turpin.
