    WESCO brand boots

    Hello all,

I am looking to replace my existing work boots and came across a company called "wesco". While I don't mind paying good money for a pair of solid boots that will last several years, these we awfully expensive still. My question to everyone is this. Has anyone first hand knowledge of how these boots wear and last? Is the price worth the cost? Everything I can read is they are great boots, but I wanted to hear first hand on how they are. I am looking at the "jobmaster" style if it makes a difference. Thanks for everyones help and input.

P.S. If this topic should rightly be in the "off-topic" forum please move it for me. I posted it here as I consider my boots an accesory to my kilt since I don't wear shoes.

    Thumbs up Wesco

I have a pair of custom Wesco jackboots ( I forget what they call them, 16" tall engineer/ biker boots ) that I've had since the late 80's. Although they show the 200,000 or so miles of riding on them, they're still in good shape! They were expensive, but I think well worth it.

Wesco's are first rate-- if you can find the time head over to their factory for a proper fitting.

I use Bates boots in my line of work (law enforcement) and put about a bazillion miles on 'em in a year...up and down the hallways, etc in the jail (big facility). They seem to hold up VERY well and are quite lightweight...easy to wear.

    Justin Roper Work Boots

I have had a pair of Justin Roper work boots for about eight years now, very comfortable. What I really like about them is that they clean up so very easy. I have had them covered with mud, horse manure, and I’ll go hose them off put on some polish and they are ready for the bars that night.
