Woohoo!!!!! New jacket!
A great big THANK YOU to Acaig for the fantastic blue/green Argyle jacket and waistcoat! It arrived today (incredible speed, especially at this time of year) and it looks and fits great! Pics to follow.

Congratulations, hope you enjoy.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Oh great, now you've got me jonesing for the PC I bought off him.
Amazing how quick you got your jacket considering the Xmas mail rush. We definitely Need pics.
So, when is the move to Neepawa?

Hehehe! Hopefully your jones is over soon. I was amazed at how quickly the jacket arrrived, especially coming from overseas. Guess I have to take back some of the things I say about Canada Post.
I'm making a quick drive(*) out to Neepawa on the 28th to take possession of the house, do a walk-through, set up a post office box, and bring out some of the harder to pack stuff from the garden sheds. I'll be back on the 8th of January with the fully-loaded moving truck (wanna drive out and help unload?? LOL). The final trip will probably be on the 12th when I bring out my wife and the 2 cats. We can't wait!
(*) Hamish will probably have a conniption fit over this "quick drive" idea. 1200 kms each way over 3 days is not something he would consider a quick drive.

Congrats on the new jacket nd yes Canada Post can be quick from places such as Europe and Hong Kong be painfully slow from the US. As for your little "drive", it's a shame I was released from the Saskatchewan Institute for the Criminally Kilted. You could have stopped by for rice pudding.

My name translates to Hamish, if it matters. And, while I won't have a fit, I may well give you a questioning look.
As a profesional driver, I can tell you that trip can be logged in 32 hours, including a mandatory 10 hour break. Which will give you 40 hours to do other things.
That being said, if I'm doing such a trip on my motorcycle, you probably shouldn't expect me to make it in less than 7 days.
