BBC radio 4 Friday drama 18/07/14

If you can listen to this on iplayer it is worth looking for it - 21:00 to 21:58

Calum's road - about a man who builds two miles of road by himself with hand tools on the island of Raasay off the East coast of Skye.

I have listened to it before. It is a powerful story, and a fairly true one too.

I think I've seen rather than heard it before. Was it videoed made? Either that or there was a feature done on the road in another programme. I seem to recall that the one I saw involved a couple of females from maybe Canada or the USA going back to Raasay where their family had originated from and they met the man who had built the road.

    It was interesting and enjoyable.
