I had seen this ad 3 times and hadn't noticed the pipes until OC posted and then I had to watch it a 2nd time to finally see them. Unfortunately they aren't there long.
I understand that this ad was voted the best ad during the Superbowl, as well it should have.

I really thought the horse would have been saying, "WHY DID YOU SELL ME TO THE CIRCUS?! I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS!" at the end of that commercial, so I din't have the same reaction that most people did.
I didn't catch the pipes, though. Great feature.

Not sure if its just me, but I am noticing kilts in more commercials and movies than I used to see. For instance we have two new animated movies (Brave and Fred Clause?) along with a few commercials. Anyone catch the short shot of kilts and pipes in the cable gennie commercial? The one where they are arm wrestling and he wins, then in come the pipers.

That's because most people can't help but hear the pipes before seeing them.

It was pretty cool participating in that, even though only a nanosecond of us ended up in the final cut.
We were a random collection of pipers and drummers rounded up on short notice. Fun hanging out with a lot of folks I usually only see at the Games. We represented quite a range, from people who play in "street bands" to people who play in a Grade One band.
They closed off some street in LA, which was supposed to look like Chicago. They cobbled together a small parade: a float with a bevvy of beauty queens, a float with a Viking ship with three Vikings on it, an open limo with the "Mayor" as his wife, a huge balloon of The Liberty Bell (what that has to do with Chicago, I can't say), the Budweiser wagon, and us. Oh, and several hundred extras lining the street!
I think we only did three or four "takes" of the entire assemblage marching down the street.
The main thing I came away with is that those horses are seasoned performers. They know where the camera is and they mug for it. Afterwards a group of us posed in front of them, and as soon as the cameras came out, those horses all looked towards them!
