Flugtag!
Kilties are taking over Flugtag! Well, not really, but it would be cool if they were. The next Red Bull Flugtag will be held of June 23, in Nashville, TN. For those of you who don't know what Flugtag is, it's a competition where amateur teams build flying crafts and launch them off a ramp to see how far they'll go before plunging into the river/ocean/big lake.
I've seen a Flugtag event in the past involving a team of kilties piloting a Scottie dog craft. In recent commercials, they've shown a team of kilties riding bicycles over the ramp.
I don't think the entry fee is much. For those XMarkers around the Nashville area, it's something to think about.

The commercials were a bit odd, and I can imagine how wildly popular a kilted team (or twelve) would be.

Ok. We are going to need somebody experienced in handling jet aircraft. We need a craft of course. We'll need a dozen refried black bean burritos with all of the fixins, guacamole, sour cream, I mean everything. We'll need a few litres of dark beer to aid in the internal fermentation process. Well need me, and a brave soul with a box of matches.
I'd bet we could clear the lake but we'd need a good pilot adept at handling an unstable craft... Maybe Cessna?

... I'm at a loss for words, Dreadbelly. I'm not sure whether to go cry in the corner or laugh uncontrollably.

That would not be a job for the faint of heart. Does it come with life insurance? The backwash would be deadly!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon
