I've discovered this Netflix original staring Jason Mamoa....set in 18th century America within the power struggles of the Hudson Bay Company. I'm only in the first season, but the Scottish are portrayed as milquetoast and subservient in their hierarchy - reptilian and mercenary in the field, opportunistic to their own fault. Not a favorable portrayal. Then again, it's how the 'English' are portrayed in every Scottish passion play to date. Then there's the outfits. Full skins and furs - with bonnets, and plaids draped over the shoulders 'so we know their Scots' I suppose.

Pardon the glare, but,
Then there’s this small issue...

What is the "censorship" rating on the series? Some of us have impressionable minds about the house that need parental guidance. You can ask my wife about what she lets me watch.

Scots were pretty much in charge throughout most of the history of HBC.
I tried watching that series but got bored rather quickly and have not been back to see if it has improved. Certainly Profane James' attachment points out one of the serious flaws of the show.

NOT for impressionable minds! It's got everything! Tarantino would be jealous...

is it worse than Outlander? Claire, Jamie and Black Jack have more sex than Jersey Shore.

I would say on par. In the same league as ‘Game Of Thrones’.

I don't think anything could be worse than Outlander.

There should be a comma after think.
I've seen documentaries that were less accurate than Outlander.

I like outlander, though it is getting a little clumsy in the plot and the constant sex is a we bit ridiculous, “we get it, they like each other”
