I am really delighted for the owners and staff of Campbell's of Beauly who had a Royal visitor. It is a shop worthy of the acclaim and well worth a visit for those that like traditional attire. Most of the attire is bespoke, but there are acres of tweed to drool over, dozens of traditional style country hats to choose from and for those that are avoiding white kilt hose then this is the place to go! Be warned, a visit could be heavy on the wallet.

It's wonderful the time that the Duke takes to promote Highland Dress and traditional craftspeople.
His outfit is lovely of course.
I would love to visit that shop! It's very unlikely, unless I can talk the wife into driving the North Coast 500 our next trip.

The North coast 500 is a great journey, but you only need to do the first 15 miles from Inverness to get to Beauly.

For sure, but it's getting the wife up to Inverness that's the biggest challenge.
Once there, then the North Coast 500 will be a must for us.
BTW the last time we were in Inverness the whole city was shut down. It was the Bank Holiday.
Working in the Southern California tourism industry as I do, I was utterly gobsmacked. At the height of tourism season shutting down the city!! Losing millions of tourist Pounds!! You would never see that here. No-one could fathom shutting down Anaheim in summer! Disneyland closed! The tourists would stay away in droves and hundreds of millions of dollars would be lost.
