I was watching "I Love the '80s" on VH1 and they were talking about the old WWF wrestler the Rowdy Roddy Piper who wore a kilt and sporran when he wrestled (or acted since thats what WWF/E is). They had this guy (I think he was latino but I can't remember that well) talking about him. His comments: "He wore a skirt but he was still awesome" or something like that. The point is he called it a skirt. I lost some major respect for a great show right there. I would've lost respect for the guy who said it but I'd never heard of him before anyway.

(Well I don't know that he NEVER wore it while he wrestled, but I am a big fan of his and have never seen him wear his kilt during the match) He wore his kilt for interviews and the like, and he wore it on his way to the ring, but he took it off before the match started.
Best of all, Rowdy Roddy Piper was Canadian!
I believe it was last weeks Smackdown, WWE's Thursday night show, John Cena was shown wearing a kilt. They were showing video clips from some shows they did in England and Scotland. He actually wore it quite respectfully. His character he plays is a bit of a sarcastic smart ***. The Scottish fans went crazy when he came to the ring in a kilt.
Rowdy Roddy Piper was a great showman. He wore his kilt with pride. It didn't matter if he was a bad guy or a good guy he was always fun to watch.
