Kilted cops at the 9/11 Memorial
On Fox news this morning, there was coverage of the set up or beginning of the 9/11 memorial. My wife yells to me, (0715 hours about) "There are kilts on TV", I come running into the kitchen in her bathrobe, and sure enough, I saw two, maybe three police officers wearing a predominently blue tartan kilt. I'm sure there will be footage all day today.

This is the only pic I could find that had anything in it. You can see the pipers in the back.

Was it this:

New York City/Tunes of Glory tartan,
or this one: New York Fire Department Pipe Band?
The NYPD has their own tartan as well, but it's more gray than blue.

Didn't see pipes

I have not watched much of the services today. To emotional for me. I did watch some, and I did see the pipe bands. The kilted cops I saw in the morning were standing in front of the podium, and had no pipes in their hands. I guess the piepes could have been stored while they were setting up the stage. I was so proud to see them standing there.
