    Loch Lomond & Inverary games

Kilts galore in this programme about the Loch Lomond National Park - https://www.itv.com/itvplayer/caroli...es-1/episode-1 - apologies if it doesn't work outside the UK.

Well done Phil, yet another one that I would have missed. A fair effort and with just enough humour to make a rather charming TV program of that part of Scotland. I hope the rest of the world can see it, maybe on YouTube?

Now a comment purely as, I hope, a helpful educational point for our members, particularly those outwith these shores, to consider. Look out for the charming kilted Americans(2) at the Highland Games. No they are not dressed in T shirts and neon shoes, etc, etc, far from it in fact, but they still manage to stand out nonetheless. Can you spot why they stand out? This is not a criticism in any way, but hopefully an educational point, so please, there is no need for flames.

Unable to view it, dang it! I tried YouTube as well, all I could find that was even remotely related was a trailer for the Cornwall episode.

Unfortunately as Kyle has said, it is not viewable here in the U.S. so Jock, I am afraid it is up to you to educate us over here as to why they stand out.

Thank you Phil. I, like the others from the US can't view it. It asks for a postal code (obviously a GB code) so our local code returns an "invalid code" message. Would there be a generic type GB, PC that might allow it to work for those of us not in GB?

I looked on UTube as Jock suggested but, I did not see that specific episode. However, there was one link to the 2012 Inverary Games here and some nice scenic viideos of Loch Lomond.

But... I want to see what Jock is alluding to in the posted link!!!

It was indeed a charming programme and from around my old stamping ground - to which I return in a couple of weeks. Hoorah!

Now; I suspect Jock may have been referring to the headwear of the two gents in question. Clan crests, hackles and voluminous sproutings of bog myrtle (for they were Campbells). It was a little over done. Otherwise, I thought they were quite nicely turned out.
