New SyFy Channel show Defiance
I finally got a chance to watch the last episode of Deficance I recorded earlier in the week yesterday. I noticed one of the episode's central characters was wearing a kilt. Noah Danby's character, Sukar, a motorcycle-riding alien, wears a kilt. Has anybody else seen the show?

I totally missed that! I will have to look more closely next time - thanks!

I've been watching it - hoping that it will fill the hole in my heart left by the cancellation of other great Sci-Fi television shows.
I love Sukar's costuming. The green fur jacket and top hat with goggles looks amazing with what looks like a leather or oilcloth kilt.

With all that has been going on in my life, I've lost track of Defiance... I loved the premiere episode. I really need to catch up. Maybe I'll have time this weekend. (Yeah... Right... )

I saw a few minutes of the pilot and had to run out the door. I kicked myself later. It looked so good. I want to watch the show from the beginning. Alas, I shall have to wait for the Blueray or Netflix.
Speaking of old shows that I wish had gone on longer...Babylon 5 and Deep Space 9...yes, the can of worms is opened. Red alert.

Actually, y'know, I've been comparing Defiance to DS9 since the first episode. It's the same general show structure- Defiance is the space station, with humans and ET's trying to figure out how to live together. And it has the same plot hurdles for the writers to overcome. It has the potential to be brilliant, if handled correctly, or the potential to get really dull, the way DS9 almost did. If they tread carefully and pay attention to what they're doing, this one can be great.
So with all that having been said... I finally caught up with it! I did indeed see the Spirit Rider with the green leather looking kilt. His leather neck armor is really interesting to me, too.

I want to see the show but I habe to watch it from the pilot in order. I can't catch a show midstream, even near the start. It's a pet peeve.
I can't find any pics of the kilted alien.
Detour:
DS9 was OUTSTANDING!!! It nearly stalled out in series' two but by series four it was back on track. It gets compared with Babyln 5 a lot but to those of us who have seen every episode of both shows it's pretty obvious that there are more differences than similarities. B5 was also outstanding, though. I'd like to see the next "Trek" series set hundreds of years pater so they can't rely on the crossover trope and easier for those unfamiliar with the franchise to jump in right away. It would be cool if instead of focussing on a "captain and crew" if it instead built up the ST universe (the way DS9 did versus TNG). Or a Section-31 series. Or a mini-series about the Earth-Romulan War (a century before Kirk).
I totally geeked out there. Lol.

wow...I didn't see the DS9 in it till now. You could also make an argument for B5 as well. I loved both of those shows.
