60 Minutes has covered The New Yorker cartoons and cartoonists twice, as far as I know, over the years. I don't subscribe to the magazine, but I like their gag cartoons quite a bit. I think a cartoonist at the NYer gets about $15,000 for one, if I remember correctly.
I notice the piper is a sorter left-handed piper...how, sinister...
