Here is an article from Idaho regarding appropriate dress and kilts.

A bit disappointing that a principal would say something like that to a student. I'm glad it worked out and good on the young man for wearing his kilt with pride.

Nice to see common sense triumph over power and control.

I'm glad to hear about a kilt in school issue being handled without lawyers, petitions, protests, etc. Now, if we could just educate our educators and administrators we could prevent any more of these misunderstandings before they start.
Thanks for the link.

Glad I read the date first. My Mum lives in Idaho and I'd have brought this to her attention had it been recent. Next weeks headline would have been: "A 75 Year Old Widow Woman Kicks Entire School Boards Collective Tail & Drives Back to Idaho to Walk Her Pup."
I've found that most relationships work best when no one wears pants.

The irony of an educator being so ignorant is profound. Wow, this fool is partially responsible for shaping impressionable minds.... I weep for the future.
You know the problem with kids these days? - they have no one to look up to.

As a retired principal, I'm appalled. But then, think it through folks, every member of the rabble has nitwits in their respective fields.

I was suspended from school for wearing a kilt and was told I would be expelled if I did so again. I was too worried about getting in trouble so I never pushed the issue. Looking back I wish I had.
