Here it is

I piped at a service held at the University of Redlands for a fallen soldier.
Odd that the photographer took a closeup of my hose... at least I'm wearing them straight

Oh I don't know OCR, that seam on the left hose cuff is out by just enough to have you peeling spuds for a week in some outfits!

That "hose shot" is actually pretty cool.

I've seen "Flag Shots" similar to that before....Nathan's right, it is a nice contrast.
The black hair sporran is a great choice for this kind of event, by the way.

Thank you for playing to honor the fallen. Nice pictures!

Is that your band kit, Richard? I noticed that you have some sort of rank badge on your right sleeve. PM, perhaps?
Nice photo reportage.

Very smart as always, Richard. Well done! My heart goes out to the fallen soldier's loved ones and those he left behind. Lest we forget.
Cheers,

Actually, Jock, are you sure it's not his leg that's out?

Ha! Jock is right about the hose... I hadn't noticed it before.
I'm wearing Pipe Major's insignia on that jacket, dating back to when I was PM of a band. The insignia for a Pipe Major consists of four chevrons surmounted by a set of pipes in a wreath of thistles. This insignia is a "badge of office" rather than a badge of rank, thus worn identically by military and civilian Pipe Majors, and by all military Pipe Majors regardless of rank. (Some Army Pipe Majors are officers and they wear the PM stripes, and officers' shoulder boards.)
