Richard Branson in a kilt - again!
A shocking image of Richard Branson in a kilt to publicise a new route for his airline - http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/bu...virgin-1818899 - at least he got Howie Nicklesby to help this time!

I suppose it is good that he wasn't put off by the Flying Scotsman incident. And that he is willing to get it right the second time. And that he doesn't mind being an object of fun.
But, just for the record, those are not boxer shorts - they are legged briefs.

At least he managed to wear it with the pleats in back this time!

Agreed - those are not boxer shorts. Here they are called "boxer briefs", a sort of hybrid between briefs and boxers.
Branson's latest attempt is only marginally less lame than his previous one. I don't know why he feels the need to make a mockery of kilt-wearing by pulling stunts like this. Had he dropped his trousers to show the world his underpants, it would be an outrageous act. But for some reason, when done with a kilt, it's seen as a big joke.
Not cool.

This whole charade was very true to form for him. It was a publicity stunt and it worked. By revealing his immodesty he got everyone (ourselves included) talking about him. This has been his MO forever. Classy - far from it. Smart - clearly.

I had the pleasure of meeting Branson once in New York at the launch of his Virgin Cola debacle. Found him a very kind and charming fellow. But I agree that stunts like this don't do him any good and show poor judgment IMHO. Then again, when you are one of the richest men on the planet, doing anything you want is is possible. Just wish he had not done this in a kilt. Too bad Nicklesby couldn't talk him into showing respect for Scotland and the kilt and dress him up nicely.
