Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines

I was watching Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines with Terry Thomas recently and noticed that there is a kilted piper in the very first scene and a chap wearing the kilt in most of the crowd scenes throughout.

One of the aviators, played by the noted Scottish actor Gordon Jackson (Major Jimmy "China" Cairnes in "Tunes of Glory') is kilted, and his plane is named "The Flying Scotsman". Sadly, most of his scenes were cut from the movie.

One wonders whether the cut scenes are still in existence, or whether they were swept out of the cutting room and destroyed.
A re-issue including the kilted scenes would be well worth while.

I watched that movie a long time ago. Remember it as being pretty funny. May have to rent or buy it and show it to my kids.
