So, as some of you may remember in "The Quiet Man" thread, the movie "Tunes of Glory" was recommended to me. And WOW! It is so great!!! I love it. Usually, when I see films with kilts or whatnot, I'd post a screenshot of a particularly kilted moment, but the WHOLE FILM is so wonderfully kilted! Oh, by the way, the piping is suberb. Absolutely wonderful, really.
There is a REALLY interesting thread on this film already below (somewhere). Also, of interesting note on the movie is HOW the kilted highlanders, who are used to the kilt, move and sit. It is pretty easy to tell the "English" actors from the Scots just by how the "move in the kilt." (We probably should watch and take notes.)
Tof G comes up a lot. If there ever is a Worldwide Xsmarks get together, I'd think that a screening of the film would be a serious "kilted do" for the occaision. Glad you enjoyed it because I've always found it excellent. Best AA
I've never heard of this...someone wanna clue me in? What its about, when was it released, etc. You've piqued my interest...
