From 1890, a whiskey ad, with truly terrible ideas of kilts:

Looks like one guy had his kilt on backwards. Definitely bad clothing style, but I found the film fascinating since it was from pree 1900. Thanks for sharing it.

Yep, pleats in front. Going with the Catholic schoolgirl look. I did like the look of the sporran on the left, though.
