Here's a funny article I found about Vin Diesel and "his" kilt.
    http://news.scotsman.com/topics.cfm?...&id=1285952003

    Vin Diesel keeps kilt

HOLLYWOOD star Vin Diesel is keeping the black leather kilt he wore at the MTV awards in Edinburgh - even though it was only given to him on loan.

Capital kilt-maker Howie Nicholsby, who let the tough guy actor borrow his own personal kilt for the ceremony in Leith, said he has yet to return it.

Mr Nicholsby, creator of the 21st Century Kilts brand at Geoffrey Tailor Kilt-makers,

said: "He was meant to bring the kilt back to us after the awards but he hasn’t done so."

However, he insisted the Fast and the Furious star can keep the kilt if he allows the designer to use his picture on his website.

He said: "Vin Diesel is a great guy and I’ll be contacting him to sort something out."

Colin, I thought this deserved a thread of its own!

I think it is great that Vin likes the kilt enough to keep it!

Hey, I'm not going to argue with him...as long as he doesn't try to take one of my kilts.

Hey! I'm a great guy, and I'd be more than willing to let Howie put my picture on his web site in exchange for a kilt. I'm not as well recognised as Vin is but who knows, if I was on Howie's web site it might be a start! Waddayathink?

Well, I've thirteen kilts from the TFCK/Geoffrey (Tailor) stable, and I have paid for every one, so if anyone gets a free kilt I believe it should be me! I am not fussed about being on their website though ............. I am on several others!!!!!

I have to agree with you Ham, if anybody deserves a free kilt from Howie it would have to be you, "the Godfather" of kilts. I have to assume that any lack of your presence on TFCK's website is an oversight that should be rectified. OK, we'll both accept free kilts in exchange for rights to our images, one a kilted grand master and the other a relative neophyte. Between us we cover the spectrum of kilt wearers. I think TFCK is missing a bet if they don't take advantage of this marketing bonanza...then again, maybe not.

    Ham for free kilt

Jamie, I agree Ham should have a free kilt, but you with your neophytical ways, NO, don't try to sell the range of kilt wearers, just get in line with the rest of us

Fair enough, but you can't blame a guy for trying (or for having a good tease). I've paid my own way on my collection of kilts, even though it is only about a quarter of Ham's. I don't think I'm really at any risk of kilts falling out of the skies. Just having a little fun at recognising the way the world works for the rich and famous (which I will never be).
