Amazing customer service from Freedom Kilts and USA Kilts

First I would like to state that this post may not be in the correct sub forum, so if it is wrong please move it.

Recently I have had the very distinct pleasure of working with two vendors from this forum, USA Kilts and Freedom Kilts

From USA Kilts a sporran chain came with a bit of an issue. I called Eric to let him know that my package had arrived, but there was a problem with the sporran chain. Without hesitation he pulled up my mailing address, confirmed it with me, and had a new sporran chain shipped out. The chain arrived in days, I was shocked with how quickly it arrived! Thank you Eric and the gang at USA Kilts!

With Freedom Kilts I had ordered some hose, the hose arrived and they were beautiful! Unfortunately it would appear as though a minor mistake at the manufacturers facility affixed the incorrect size label to the packaging of the hose. A pleasant call to Steve and all is right in the universe once again and new hose are en route. Thank you Steve at Freedom Kilts!

In this electronic age where many of our transactions take place online with seemingly anonymous vendors and customer service is a distant afterthought, it was refreshing to actually speak with people that were not only genuinely pleasant, but also cared a great deal about making sure that that I was happy with the products that I had received.

    Kudos gentlemen.

I go along with what you said entirely about Steve and Freedom Kilts. In this day and age where service seems to be at the rear of your shopping experience, It is front and centre at Freedom Kilts. Steve always gives you a straight forward answer to any questions and his advice is genuine in all regards....if you still want to go with your own ideas he is the first to support you and goes twice the distance to make your experience at Freedom Kilts one that gives great pleasure to tell others about

Just so everyone understands what the problem was with the hose.

I was asked to send two pair of large Lewis hose. One Charcoal and the other Mid-Gray. So I walk over to my hose rack and pulled down two pair. I check the labels and confirm that both labels say size large.

Lo and behold when the customer gets the hose he tries them on and one pair feels tighter than the other. So he calls me about the problem.

I had him put both pair side by side and on top of each other to compare them. And what do you think we find. One pair is an inch shorter in the foot and shorter in the leg from the other.

1" is the difference between a large and a medium size.

So it is pretty clear that one of the two pair were mislabeled at the factory. OK, mistakes happen. But if this customer had not had two pair and was not able to put them side by side he would have just cussed me under his breath and felt he got ripped off.

I would like to say to anyone who orders anything, from anyone, sight unseen, and you feel that some mistake has happened - Please contact the seller immediately. Most honest businessmen will stand behind what they sell. They will do what it takes to make it right.

If, and only if, you let them know that something is wrong. So many times we makers and sellers never hear from our customers after a sale. Nothing good, nothing bad. We are not mind readers. If something is wrong please, please speak up. Tell us. Give us the chance to make it right.

Thank you T90 for calling me. It was great to gab for a while as we figured out what happened. The post office was closed by the time I got there so your replacement hose will be in the mail first thing tomorrow morning.
