Back from Oceanside, CA

Well, we just returned from our family vacation in Oceanside wherein we rented a beach house--and I fell in love (with the beach that is).

Would you SoCal members be willing to take in another?

I waded shoulder deep in freezing water--that's how much I love the ocean.

And the sand had actual flecks of gold in it. Be still my beating heart!

**By the way, if any of you know any surfers who were surfing in Oceanside between the dates of June 5 to June 12, we most likely have a killer picture of them that we'd happily give copies to.

Well, not too far from you, in October, will be the Seaside/Ventura games. Nellie and John Lowry are very nice people and have a great event.

My favorite things about Oceanside- best body surfing waves I had encountered in my travels (that doesn't really say much, though) and the white owls flying around the bell tower of the old Mission San Luis Rey at nighttime. Glad you had a great trip.
