    Back from Wisdom Teeth surgery!

    Yeah... that was not fun.

Day 1 - Anesthesia knocked me out for hours. Was prescribed Percocet for the pain. Took those pills twice. Once on day 1 when i was still under the anesthesia and hadn't eaten, vomiting ensued. No solid food. Lunch was jello, dinner was sherbet.

Day 2 - Took Percocet for the pain, was basically high and i did NOT like the feeling. Started taking ibuprofen for the pain. No solid food, again jello and sherbet.

Day 3 & 4 - Pain decreased. Some solid food - scrambled eggs for breakfast then mac and cheese, mashed potatoes for lunch and dinner.

Day 5 - today. swelling has gone down drastically. oatmeal for breakfast, mashed potato bowl from kfc for lunch with, you guessed it, mac and cheese.

Hasn't been so bad. Can't open my mouth all the way yet, but it'll come back.

You'll heal soon! Your day 5 diet is very close to my normal just kidding, although oatmeal is a constant. I remember the discomfort and sympathize. We have to plan the same for mmy daughter soon. All the best tp you.

The military wanted my wisdom teeth as soon as I landed at my first duty station. I was more than happy to let them have them too.

My experience wasn't too bad at all. They gave me a big bottle of Percocet which went straight in the toilet. I have my own personal reasons for not taking them.

Healing was a breeze and I was eating steak within days...

    Lucky me I've always said.

When I was in the Army a buddy had his done. One of his wisdoms was growing in sideways-roots out. Ouch!

I was lucky. They just cut the gums on one side so they come in on their own. Took Tyco 3 for the first day afterward then Ibuprofin for the next two.

And I thought I was unlucky in only having 31 teeth.

I winced whilst reading all previous posts.
