Other than my Grizzly Adams beard from 25 years ago (it was longer than my hair and required daily shampoo, conditioner, and brushing), I have been intermittently clean shaven or wearing a tightly cropped goatee which is not capable of braiding. My Grizzly did get partially braided, once, for a costume party, but the pictures are not good looking, but then neither was the beard, really. Hence the reason for the goatee. So I will sit this one out.

I'll have to observe from the sidelines. I get five o'clock shadow five minutes after I shave, but the whole mess stops growing after three days.

See that belt buckle? There was a time in my life when my hair went all the way down to the belt in back and my beard went all the way down to the buckle. Long hair is a lotta work. So I cut off a little.
