    Bit of Excitement Today

This morning my wife slipped in the laundry room and twisted her ankle.
I took her over to the German Hospital in Garmisch to be checked out.
After the X ray was done, the doctor found a slight break in the outside bone of her ankle. He has put her into a walking cast for the next four weeks.

She is OK, but in slight pain tonight.
That started the day off on a down side but it got better.

The past week has been snowy and cloudy, but today dawned (as we left the hospital) bright and clear. The mountains were clear and snow covered!.
    Very cold however.

Our office Christmas Party was scheduled for noon today and after getting my wife settled comfortably on the couch in the living room, she sent me off to the party.

I wore my Isle of Sky kilt with lovat green jacket and hose. Added red tie and garter ties and it was a nice look, if I say so. I forgot the camera as I was in a bit of a rush.

It was the first time most of my workers and colleagues have seen me in a kilt and comments were overwhelming positive. A couple called it a skirt but only in fun or not being able to think of the word in English.
Lunch was at a nice hotel at the foot of the Zugspitze surrounded by snowy fields and trees. Very Bavarian.

Then home to check on my wife. She is resting fine tonight.
Life has its excitements, doesn't it?

    Regards,
    Tom

I've been down to that end of Germany. Spent time in Fussen in the summertime and Sonthofen in the winter. I understand what you mean about very Bavarian. I hope your wife is on the mend in no time. Please pass on best wishes from Mrs English Bloke and myself.

My prayers are with your Mrs. It's too bad she had to miss the party!
