Black Donnellys
Cancelled? Crap, I really liked that show. Ah well, it was entertaining while it lasted.

yeah, me, too! they always cancell the shows I like. Black Donnellys was a happy replacement for Studio 60 (which I thought must be cancelled, but isn't, it turns out...maybe), which I also liked, but it turns out, not as much as I liked Black Donnellys.
oh well. maybe they'll get to release all the first season on DVD at some point.
grrrrr.

After beloitpiper's post, I hunted a little and then read that the April 16 show will be the last aired.
"Over at NBC, net will yank Paul Haggis-Bobby Moresco drama "The Black Donnellys" from its posh Monday-night perch in order to make room for its new reality take on "Wedding Crashers."
"Donnellys" had been slated to air most of its 13-seg run at 10 p.m. Mondays. Assuming NBC doesn't pull the plug sooner, "Donnellys" will end April 16, getting to air just eight episodes on Mondays -- with only two of those segs airing behind original episodes of "Heroes.""
But wait, that only means that they won't be on Mondays anymore -- some researcher I turned out to be.

I saw that as well - My DW (Dear Wife) and I are very dissapointed. The first episode was a bit off, but the actors seems to be clicking and the story line was stating to get pretty good ... oh well, another victim of "Reality TV"

It's been pulled, but not cancelled. The remainder of the season will be available online to watch (streaming from the website).

That stinks...
I didn't like it as much as the Shield, but I did still enjoy it more than most shows.

Looks like Heroes is getting the ax as well...well, I suppose that they've taken that one as far as it could go anyway.
As far as the Black Donnellys...I heard that it was being canned a couple of weeks ago. It struck me as one of those shows that the network geniuses come up with that's a variation on some other successful project; it's like an Irish version of the Sopranos or what you get if you could do The Departed as a TV show...it's hard to get anything like that to work because it never comes up to the same level as the original concept that it's "appropriated" from. Remember all the Space Operas that popped up after Star Wars hit it big?
So...like Firefly...you'll get a chance to buy "The Black Donnellys: the Complete Series" in one attractively priced box set. Remember "The Book of Daniel"? Eight episodes and three of them never aired.
That's TV for ya'.

Which you can't get in Canada, apparently. Crud.
As for Heroes, the series was on hiatus. It will restart around the same time that The Black Donnellys stops.
