The World Congress of Scottish Literatures: Dialogues and Diasporas in Vancouver June 21 to 25. The most important Scottish diaspora conference of the first two decades of the 21C.
Sponsorship is through the Centre for Scottish Studies, Simon Fraser University.

If you are interested in the Scots in Canada and their immense impact on today's Canadian culture you really should attend, at least on June 24 and 25 for the Days of Scottish Culture.
Those two days are free to non-academics and include talks/lectures by Jasreen Janjua, Brian Shannon, Leith Davis, Sim Innes, Peadar O' Muircheataigh, Geraldine Parsons, Antoine Minard, Pamela Perkins, Bronwen Quarry, Caroline McCracken-Flesker and Juliette Shields. The last day of the Congress includes a guided tour of Fort Langley, a superbly restored Hudson's Bay Company historic site.
Advance registration is essential.
