Bridges of Scotland
I was just reading a little bit about "Forth Bridge" in Scotland; very interesting.
That would be fine to discuss and post pictures, so go ahead, but it also leaves me wondering about the old wooden bridges* of Scotland?
So what are your favorite Scottish bridges, and what about them do you enjoy?
*I thought of this because I remember walking across the wooden deck of the Royal Gorge suspension bridge in US Colorado as a little kid and looking down through the spaces between the planks. Very scary.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Marvellous idea! Here are two of my favourites - extremely different. Anybody recognize them?

Rev'd Father Bill White: Mostly retired Parish Priest & former Elementary Headmaster. Lover of God, dogs, most people, joy, tradition, humour & clarity. Legion Padre, theologian, teacher, philosopher, linguist, encourager of hearts & souls & a firm believer in dignity, decency, & duty. A proud Canadian Sinclair with solid Welsh and other heritage.

That top one is amazing, Father Bill. It almost looks breakable. I think I'd be scared to walk across it but I sure would love to see it. It's beautiful.

It's very romantic - legend of star-crossed lovers here - anybody recognize it with that clue?

The last (I think) timber railway bridge in Scotland, at Moy

Two stone ones, the Telford Bridge at Tomatin

and the Wade Bridge at Aberfeldy.

A footbridge over the Findhorn

and three others over the Findhorn.

Both the Forth Bridge and the Tay Bridge are magnificent miracles of engineering and I can't wait to cross them both on a train!

I forgot to bring up stone and masonry bridges; thank you, ThistleDown.
