That should make a very light chocolate cupcake. I'm going to try the whisky buttercream. The Glenlivet should work nicely, don't you think?

As far as choices of whiskey's go.. Go with a fairly cheap brand.. Honestly! When cooking with any alchol all the neat character of the whiskey will be lost when it's cooked out. I'd just go for a middle of the road blended whiskey. Just my 2 cents.
The whisky involved is in the frosting, and is not heated. I wonder how much of its flavor would be covered up by the butter?
