Calling the Central Oregon Kilted! Fight breast cancer on oct. 30th!

So here is the deal and I hope I am not violating some rule here.

I am currently attending school to be a barber...lost the job, have to do something right? Anyway the school I am attending is a long time supporter of breast cancer research. On Oct. 30th, Phagan's schools across Oregon will be donating half their proceeds to fight cancer. So naturally, they want us to get as many people in as we can so that the most money is raised to fight this insidious disease.

The powers that be want us to be booked up..and being new in town, I have made no friends yet so it's not like I can just call folks and ask them to let me cut their hair..lol. So if you want a haircut that day and want to do a good turn to fight cancer, stop in at Phagan's and have a service done. Ask for me (Kevin) or call in and book a service. And it isn't about me (though I'd appreciate the bookings under my name for haircuts as i need the criteria to graduate...lol). I don't want to give the impression that I am trying to pump myself up here or make money for myself (I don't get paid..I am a student!). There are many fine students there who will do their utmost for you and no matter who you get, you won't get a bad deal!

Get a pedicure or manicure for the wife (or for yourself for that matter), a facial for her, a haircut for the gents, a nice style job for the lasses...anything. Just pop in..call for an appt. and be assured you get in...and put some money against this disease that has gotten so many. My dad has inoperable lung cancer that he fights daily, my mom had skin cancer, one of my closest friends died of renal cancer...it has to stop and the only way is to get money to the researchers.

And if you do decide to come in and have something done...COME KILTED!!! My Scottish pride is well known there and I would appreciate the rabble coming in force to show them the Scottish heart and the Kilted spirit.

Those interested can call Phagan's and make an appointment for Oct. 30th at 541-382-6171 and tell them what you want done and set up a service. I do mens cuts. So if a kilted gent would like, mention my name (Kevin) and I will be happy to cut their hair and discuss all things kilted.

    Phagan's
    355 NE Second Street
    Bend, OR 97701

As I said, I hope I don't violate some board policy..but I don't know anyone around here yet and we want to raise as much money as possible to sock it to cancer. I thank you for your indulgence in this matter.

I wish I were closer! Alas, Texas is a bit of a drive for a haircut or manicure. But I'll be there in spirit for you.

    Best of luck,
    Melissa
