There were doggy events: gundog pickup and gundog scurry which involved one retrieve from the river. There were lurchers and ferrets, a horse driving competition carriage driving food and cookery demos, including some free samples, nearly 70 rural craft stalls, over 70 food related stalls and 250 trade stalls.
There was lots for kids, young and some not so young bubbles on land and some on water. There were also some unique choices of clothing: There were vintage military, car and lorry displays this one from my local town and, if you felt so inclined you could also do a bit of fishing. Finally there were the massed bands, 14 in all This is a video of the second of two waves arriving: I had to leave before the end on a food errand for the evening meal, so missed the hot air balloons if it was not too windy.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Yes, regretably I did not note which one. If you listen to the video you may be able to identify them from the commentary.
