Climbing in the Peak District and 4 new additions.

Aside from the scenery the Peak district in Derbyshire, there are lots of challenging climbs for those of you who enjoy rock climbing.

Not for beginners though, it is a long way down. This was taken a few yards from the top of the climb.

On a totally different subject we had 4 new additions to the family this morning.

If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

The # 1 rule of rappelling (abseiling), "Thy anchor shall be bombproof, and thou shall set no non-bombproof anchors before it." That tree looks like it will do for a while yet. Congratulations on the kittens, I would love to see some more pics as they grow.

He had to abseil down to recover a piece of equipment that had apparently got stuck on the way up.

I only posted pictures of the kittens because they are quite a colourful bunch. The one on the right, when the picture was taken, had not managed to suckle at that point. I found it immobile, stone cold, wet and apart from the mum and the other 3, all which had been cleaned up and were suckling. 24 hours later all seems to be well.

    Great pics.
One abseil was enough for me!
    Your kittens are so cute.

Another forum I frequent has a "love" button which I would surely have used here if available! We are staff to one old ladycat who would not appreciate any foolishness such as kittens invading her domain. . . And good for you, rescuing the straggler!

Anything to oblige. The one that had the near death experience, top left corner, has turned out to be the biggest, boldes and most active of the lot.

A likely looking bunch! Happy to hear that the straggler is doing so well.
