I posted my Grandmother's recipe for Dandelion wine in the pub section a couple of months ago.

Step 1. Find a field of dandelions.
Step 2. Pick some of the tallest plants/leaves
    Step 3. Wash
Step 4. Put in salad bowl and apply favorite dressing
Step 5. Eat, preferably with a fork or hands

I read in the Foxfire books that people used to dig up dandelions and replant them in a long, shallow box, and grow them indoors in the winter. As the leaves grew longer, the people would cover them with dirt, to keep them from turning green and to make them more tender. Then in the cold of winter, they would "unearth" the dandelions and cook them for greens.

Step right this way....yes, just there....right in front of my house. Pick all you want and don't forget to mow while you're at it.
