Decided against the kilt( gasp! )

I couldn't find the original thread so I started a new one.

I wore my suit to the wedding. It was the right choice. I would have been a major distraction to the bride and groom. Although from a comfort level I really wish I could have worn the kilt. It was really hot.

Everything turned out wonderful. They make a great couple.
Thanks everyone for you advice. This is a very thoughtful group of people.

Here's a pic of the bride.

Sorry to hear that, but understand. My daughter swears that she will not let me walk her down the aisle if I am wearing a kilt. That may change, though, as I pointed out to her that Juicy Couture is now using tartan material for some of their products (she is a student of fashion design.) Great photo, beautiful bride.

What a lovely bride. Good choice. Did you get any use of it that weekend?

I would have done the same. Wedding days are all about the bride. I commend you for the decision. Feel good. It was the right choice.

Yep, you made the right choice.

By the way, I hope you have the bride's permission to post her picture here - some people are quite protective.

Never did get a chance to wear the kilt. I need it in a few days for a party and didn't want to soil it. I won't have a chance to clean it first.

I have been to entirely too many weddings where some ego-centric retarded socially [expletive deleted!] has tried to upstage the bride. You have a right to feel good in your decision. Here's tae ya Also our best wishes to the bride and groom from a pair of 50 year veterans!

    Rich,

In life sometimes it isn't about ourselves, sometimes it's about the other person. I'm very glad you made the right choice.
