We are proud to support our glorious forebears and love Scotland. We play the pipes, wear the tartan and are, of course, Highlanders too!

Really disgusting, and in light of recent polices, not altogether surprising.
It is becoming increasingly difficult to serve one's country in this age, and expect any sort of consideration/compensation due. This is even more disturbing to a family such as mine, with a centuries old tradition of military service.

I read this story on the BBC website this morning and can't say I was surprised. Successive governments have only reluctantly, and after a lot of pressure form the public, given the Gurkhas anything like near their dues. As bad as this sounds, the picture was a lot worse only a few years ago so the campaigning will continue.

Bravest of the brave, most generous of the generous, never had country more faithful friends than you.
...but you can't stay here.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

What a travesty of Justice. Faithfully serve for years then get kicked out by a political decision. Two world wars, other conflicts don't count for anything.
