Seller describes these as follows: UP FOR BID IS A LOT OF 15 SCOTTISH WOOL HEADSQUARE SCARVES. THEY EACH MEASURE APPROXIMATELY 30" X 30"

Just curious, what would be the functional use of a 30 inch square piece of fabric? Sounds more like a du-rag type item you would tie on your head as opposed to a scarf IMO.

Headsquares are usually worn by ladies who want to "tie their head up", as my grandmother used to say, to keep the cold wind from blowing their hair awry, or by some ladies in the Catholic church who cover their hair during Mass.

For $32.99 you could use them to make crafts and what not , I am watching them to see how far they go . If I get them I will make some projects with them .

They would make pretty placemats for Christmas, or baby doll clothes.

Attend a ton of highland games every year and cant remember ever seeing a woman wearing a tartan fabric du-rug/head tie.

So those looking at these are aware, these are going to be very light weight if considering craft type uses. Not any stability to them at all if my assumption is correct.

Re: E Bay find 15 tartan Scarves $32.99

Most ladies' scarves ( with the exception of the ever-encroaching Pashmina) tend to be somewhere between 2 feet and a metre along one square side. The iconic Hermes scarf worn by HM Queen Elizabeth is about 33 inches square. Thirty inches is a good size for a fly plaid for a shorter person and would make an excellent ( and styling) arm sling.

If you laid them out right and didn't need any (or much) allowance for hemming, you COULD get 3 12X18 placemats from a scarf, but that strikes me as a sad waste. Depending on the weight, they might be made into interesting pocket squares or pillow covers. I am sure clever people have made handbags with less fabric.

Or garter flashes, eyeglass cases, checkbook covers, tea cosies, book marks, belts, cummerbunds, hair bows, or pin cushions.

or wee pouches for medicinal herbs.
