Emoticon Moron
Feeling stupid today? Let me help you feel better about yourself.
I have forever been trying to figure out where all of you get these really awesome emoticons. I've been searching the web, to no avail. For months. I'm not kidding. I've been trying to figure out how to capture them from posts. With no luck.
A couple of minutes ago I watched my wife click the [More] button under the emoticon legend, and am now feeling like the dumbest $%%^ on the planet. I'm also personally embarrassed because as a tech writer, a large part of my job is attention to detail. I've never actually noticed the [More] tag until just now.
I think I'm going to go have a drink or two and see if I can't pass out before I pound my head into the wall until I knock myself senseless.
Oh for dumb. (and with that statement, we'll see who is from my home state)

What "more" button?
Okay, feel better? Yes, we all do things we'd rather not remember, so don't sweat it.

I've just had a really bad day, and this really iced the cake.
Especially because I just had to ask the wife how to actually use them to get that one.

Mmmkay. Today is handled. How about tomorrow?
Could we just set up a daily Mickey thread? You know, like the "word a day" calendars some people keep in the head? I could certainly use the commiseration. I could even be your guest poster on the days you manage to function properly. I've gots me 36 years of stoopud from which to draw.

Thanks Pookie, but I don't think Steve has the bandwidth to support my moments. It would destroy this great board.

I hear ya. Two days ago I was making my son's school lunch. Opened the loaf of bread, made him a sandwich, then spent 5 minutes in an endless circle in my tiny kitchen holding the bag of bread in one hand, bag clip in the other, looking for the bag that holds the bread. Eventually ended in a big eye roll to the sky and a slight shake of the head. The truly smart guy would have kept this to himself. The idiot (me) tells his wife, who immediately informs everyone she knows how stupid her husband is.... Nobody is surprised.
