I would be delighted to oblige, but there are a couple of things, well three actually, that throw a spanner in the works------The Atlantic, time and the wife!

If you leave now......
I'd just be borrowing your presence. I'm sure your wife will understand the trepidation I am currently experiencing.

Well, if you can't find anyone in time, just wear a ring on your finger and coyly refuse to answer any questions.
It don't mean a thing, if you aint got that swing!!

I'd be delighted. Bonus for you, I can more than hold my own in a bar fight, I can be very gruf, and I have studied the Gentleman's code of conduct (subject to desire in adhering to it.) Six foot, blond(ish) 225 lbs stonemason. I am also devoted to a wonderful woman, so there would not be inappropriate behaviors.
Alas, I don't have a passport. Good luck.

I would also be willing to help out except for a few things. First would be Jock Scot's first and third reasons, funds to travel, previous work commitment tomorrow and meeting with a dear friend of ours that had a heart attack two and a half weeks ago that is having a "meet the artist show". Whew, sounds like I'm going to be very busy tomorrow anyway. Other than that, I'd be happy to assist.

Come on Ron. When was the last time you were in Nova Scotia?

Ain't ever been to Nova Scotia yet - it is on my bucket list.
My aunt visited in the 60s
My father visited in the 40s en route to England and the RAF
My grandfather visited about a hundred years ago...
Any way you could move it a bit closer??
