    Firestone Walker Ale

I tried to post this in the Pub, but my email doesnt like their confirmation or something and I can't get in.

My point though, is to tell you about both a truly outstanding beer that supports the kilt wearing community.

    http://www.firestonewalker.com/

Firestone Walker brewery from Paso Robles, California sponsored part of the athletics at the Seaside Highland Games in Ventura, Ca. This is part of "those" Firestones, of tire fame as well as a Winery in the same area as the brewery. As a matter of fact, their first attempt at beer was because they had some unused barrels sitting around during a poor grape year. It has definitely grown since then.

In addition to their monetary sponsorship, they also provided five cases of their Double Barrel Ale for the athletes. This is a truly outstanding brew! So smooth, so crisp, what great flavor. I am by no means a beer drinker. There aren't many I enjoy. Even Guinness is a once in a while type thing for me, though I do enjoy the taste.

This double barrel ale is made from an old English technique of union brewing, something not traditionally done any longer. I don't know precisely what the difference is, but damn it makes for some nice beer. I just might have happened to take a six pack of bottles home, and I just might happen to have enjoyed a few during the Patriots game on Sunday. Damn fine stuff!

I show your Pub account as awaiting confirmation from your end. Did you receive the e-mail confirmation message from the forum?

Most of the freebie e-mail providers trap forum confirmation messages as being spam of junk mail, so if you've yet to see the confirmation message, check your Junk or Trash folders. This is such a problem that I'm always tempted to block registrations using the freebie accounts.

See this tutorial for more information.

I don't see the PM in either location. I've forced a second confirmation message to be e-mailed to the registered address.

Let me know if the problem persists and we'll make the change manually. I want to see if this is a one-time issue, or if we suddenly have a new problem.

Nothing to the registered address. I'll PM you personally this time, rather than the Pub general 'contact' account.
