German motorized trikes
Seen at the German Highland Games on 11 July 09 and presented for all of you fans out there. Wish I knew more about them to tell you, but I'm not into this type of transportation.

Enjoy.

Billy Connolly is a big fan. Any of his "World Tour" shows always have him riding one.

They cost more than cars, are dreadful to ride, get horrid gas mileage, are a bugger to insure, and are a menace to all that is supposed to be good, and green, and politically correct on our planet. Obviously I love them. They represent the independence of the human spirit that gives two fingers to the bureaucracies that want to drown us in a vat of collectiviism distilled down to the lowest common denominator. They are as great an expression of freedom and individuality as the kilt.
Not that I intend on forsaking the Bentley for a trike. Not yet, anyway...

I have seen some marvelous conversions here in the states... one in particular had a rear end that resembled the rear end of a 56 chevy..
a very good friend of mine had his harley ultra classic converted to a trike, because his knees were going bad and it was easier for him to enjoy the open road.. there is a group that comes to mind that loves the trike lifestyle.. and they are called "Brotherhood of the Third Wheel". I have seen photos of their gatherings, and the variations of trikes were from the self built and obvious to the professional conversion..

I saw these shown at the Leesburg Bike Fest last year, they are very pricey
for trikes, but the quality is there. They have several types and the prices
raises with each model, If I'm not mistaken the most expensive was around
$30K.

Nice photos, for now anyway though I prefer my motorcycles on two wheels, but I do appreciate those, I've met a bunch of the Brotherhood of the Third Wheel guys in my travels and been to some of their runs in the past. A nice bunch.

I saw the same thing only in a rougher condition in Santa Fe NM. Some as long as 15'.
They were definatly stylin.

There are alot of modern trike conversions out there for Harleys, Goldwings and others. These are VW trikes. They started converted beetles to trikes years ago. I've actually seen a few with the back half of the Beetle intact.
