Going to Boston this weekend and I have.....

a slight fear of flying. I know its a dumb thing to fear, but there you have it.
We are flying out of Dulles on Sat. morning and return on Sunday.
Going to see my oldest friend of some 37 years.
It will be a great time, except for the flying part.
Any suggestions on how to make it a nice experience.
btw, I've flown quite alot. Sweating palms and all!

My daughter uses Gravol. I've never tried it myself. She says it just calms her down and helps with the motion.

Go take an introductory flying lesson. Then you'll be hooked just like kilts. O'Neille

Nope not interested. Have flown a Cessna (sp) Golden Eagle and others (didn't take off or land), just flew them in the air-easy stuff. I think I have a fear of heights maybe???

Ask for an aisle seat and have a couple drams before boarding.

That's the advice I would give. Use anything to take your mind off the situation.

I don't care for flying, but that's because I feel like a canned sardine in those seats. Yeah, I know I could take first class, but I could buy another trip for the difference in cost.
