That is great news Grant. I had been following the story for a while and am glad that they made this decision.

The article doesn't mention it, but NPR did interview her about this issue a few weeks back. Older members (and some not so old) will remember this politician as the female sidekick who succeeded Mrs. Peel in "The Avenger" TV show from the 1960-70's. She told the interviewer that her father was a commander of Ghurka troops in India in the 1940-50's, so she felt strong ties with this unit. That's why she went to bat so strongly for them.
