    Haiti

I think I'm going to put off getting my next kilt for a month or two, and send some bucks to Doctors Without Borders.

Sandra Bullock just gave them a million bucks.

Thank you, Sandra. You are a class act. I can't match your dollars, but I can do what I can.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have also donated to Doctors Without Borders.

DWB operates three or four hospitals in Haiti. At least a couple of them are still functional.

My next kilt can wait for a while....

The Health Sciences classes at my school collected medical supplies tonight at the basketball game to send to Haiti. It's very possible that something as simple as some antibiotic cream and a Band-Aid could save a life. Thanks for your contributions, and it's a great idea.
I'm sending a check tomorrow. Who else is with us?

Sending to Doctors Without Borders. They have been a favorite charity since one of their own spoke at my daughter's graduation from medical school.

I made my donation to Catholic Relief Services. They are in the process of moving food and water from CRS' warehouses in the Dominican Republic to Port-au-Prince.

good call. I just got an email about a shoe donation program calling for shoes to go to Haiti. it's called soles4souls, and it looks as though there are drop offs all over the country. I know we have plenty of children's shoes that have been outgrown...

Here's the link in case anyone is interested:

Great idea, Alan. For Canadians, here is the portal to donations to MSF/Doctors Without Borders:
