Hamish on the Mend
I'm sorry for the long silence from Hamish and myself. He is home now, but for the second time.
We had a bit of a crisis on Sunday last resulting an a trip to the emergency room by ambulance. One of his wounds reopened because of a small blood clot underneath, and that had to be taken care of very promptly. With this kind of surgery, there is always this risk, if a small one. Hamish was just unlucky. Fortunately, there was no infection and he was home again on Tuesday.
The district nurse is calling regularly to ensure everything remains as it should. There have been other teething troubles to keep us busy, but with a few changes in place, we appear to be overcoming all of that now, and life is starting to resemble the one we used to know. Hamish is in good spirits and eager to get back into the swing of it, but still has to take everything very easily. Not always easy to enforce!
He was planning to have posted here by now, but I'll sure you'll understand that events somewhat derailed this. Perhaps in a day or so.
Jim

Thankyou Jim for the update, please assure Hamish that his good health is far more important than him keeping us informed. So glad to hear that he is on the mend aside from the hiccup, but obviously he has a good mate in you to help him through.
Cheers to both of you

Even small setbacks can be so disheartening. It's excellent to hear that recovery is well under way. Please let Hamish know that we're all thinking of him. Thank you, Jim, for the update.

Thank you for the update. Was wondering if I had missed a "status" thread. Good to hear the "trip" was a short one.
