HAppy Thanksgiving, Canada!
Haooy Thanksgiving to all our Canadian friends. I spent many years celebrating Thanksgiving in Victoria because that is also Victoria Marathon weekend. I miss it.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. If you don't celebrate the day then I know you can find something in your life to be Thankful for.
The only thing I don't like about this day is the massive size that turkeys grow to and the days that follow with turkey being incorporated into everything and ending up a week before Christmas as a turkey soup. Just in time to start thawing out another turkey for the Christmas meal.
O how I long for the time when a goose was the traditional fowl for holidays.

Happy Thanksgiving, indeed.
My mom's father, and my father were both born in Canada. So our family celebrated 'Canadian Thanksgiving' every October, and my birthday was also observed by the whole famdamily, at the same time. There is nothing like having a turkey dinner, with birthday cake, and pie for dessert.
In later years, the following week, my mom's folks would then head south for the winter, not to return until spring. So this was also the last time, the whole family would be together until Memorial Day in May.

Happy Thanksgiving to our friends in the Great White North. Good neighbors are hard to find and great to keep!
