    Highlanders sans kilt, sporrans only

There is a photo of two or three Highland soldiers, WWI or WWII, with ONLY sporrans and glengarrys. If anyone has seen this, could it be posted...the sporrans are large enough so it is not "porn". It is a very funny photo. I believe they are standing beside a body of water and one or two of the soldiers have large mustaches. THANKS. Malcolm MacWm.

Oh, there are LOTs of pictures like this, even up to modern day. It's something Highlander soldiers get up to you see.

Of course, I would never have had anything to do with stuff like that! I just heard about it! Honest!

THANKS, Cajun......not the one I'm thinking of, but this one is good. I didn't know it was tradition (I know from experience that it is done as a lark sometimes!!!), and it is called a sporran parade!! GREAT photo.

THANKS, Ron.....this may have been the photo I was thinking of, although I could have sworn one of the lads had a huge bushy mustache with a great smile on his face. Malcolm

I showed the image from Riverkilt to my teenage son and asked if he wanted to join up. He just screwed up his face and walked away. Spoofing the teen is fun.
