How is this for a kilt!

How is this for a kilt!

Another uncertainty in the kilt that Piper Millin wore.
I decided to use the "Cameron of Erracth" tartan for the kilt.
Once again I printed the pattern onto June Taylor's ink jet fabric and re-inforced with a cotton backing before I sewed the kilt.

For Toy 60mm figures this is a good place and they have FREE shping.

What is the documentation for Millin wearing a Cameron of Erracht tartan? Is this a reference to the Commando training center in Cameron country?

It's a wee bit small for me.

That's kind of amazing. I'm not following what you're recreating there, but I'm impressed with the techniques you've used to shrink the tartan and build that tiny little kilt. The photography is pretty cool too.

Sometimes I end up feeling pretty inept compared to you crafty people, you. I don't mind at all.

    Regards,
    Rex.

I bet it's just as skilled making a kilt that size, as a full size kilt.

Re: the tiny tartan Lord Lovat's piper Bill Millin was wearing. I think I remember reading somewhere that the maker wasn't sure what tartan to use so he used one that he liked. At least he didn't put helmets on their heads.

I did not make those figures, just thought the kilt was neat since it was on such a small scale.

    The size is listed below.
    Scale: 1/6
    Size (Aprox): 12 in tall

They also sell other figures such as this Knights Templa.
